How It Works

Plug in your HR system (we connect to 60+, including BambooHR, HiBob, Personio, Sage HR) or upload a spreadsheet. From then on, Equipped knows who's joining, who's moving team and who's leaving.

Decide what each role gets: which laptop, which apps, which security settings. You do this once, and we'll help you on the setup call.

New Starter: The laptop is ordered, set up and delivered, and their accounts are ready. Leaver: Access is removed and the device return is booked. Everything is logged, so you can show what's been done whenever asked.

Why It Matters

A leaver who keeps access to your systems is typically the gap that insurers and auditors ask about first. If you can't show that access was removed, your renewal takes longer and may cost more, and if something does go wrong, you're explaining to the ICO why a former employee could still get into your customer data.

Getting started FAQs

Here are the most common questions we get asked.

Do I need to be technical to use Equipped?

No. It's designed for Ops, HR and Finance people to use as easily as IT can. If you can use your HR system, you'll be fine, and we'll set it up with you.

We've already got some laptops. Do we have to buy new ones?

No. We'll enrol the devices you already have. You can use our catalog if/when you want to buy new devices.

We use Macs and Windows. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Equipped manages Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone and Android from the same platform.

How long does setup take?

Most teams are up and running within a few days.

Where is our data stored?

In the EU (France), encrypted by default. The platform is SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliant. If you specifically need UK-only hosting, it's probably not the right fit, and we'll tell you that upfront.

Will it help with Cyber Essentials?

It helps with several of the controls, particularly secure configuration, patch management and malware protection. It won't do the certification for you, but it makes the evidence much easier to pull together.

Will it help with our cyber insurance?

Typically, yes. Insurers tend to ask how devices are secured and how leavers' access is removed, and Equipped gives you a report that answers both.

Does the AI assistant make decisions on its own?

Only within the rules you set. Anything that needs approval gets sent to the right person, and every action is logged.

What if I'm already using a spreadsheet or another tool?

Equipped can import from spreadsheets directly. If you're using another asset management tool, our team can help with migration.

What support is available during setup?

Our team is always available for you - from initial onboarding assistance to any questions or queries you may have at any stage of your Equipped journey.

What if we decide it's not for us?

The minimum contract term is 12 months. The contract auto-renews for 12 months at the end of each term. To avoid renewal, written notice must be given at least 30 days before the current term expires.

There is no exit fee. You can export your full device inventory, employee and asset data at any time, and for 45 days after termination. 

What's stopping me from going to Primo directly?

Nothing. You can! Equipped adds a UK team for setup and support, pricing in pounds and contracts under English law. If you want to work with a European provider directly, that could be the right option for you.
